Hello! Welcome to my den! I'm NerdyBookFox. I'm a hobbyist bookstagrammer; I began my bookstagram journey to read more and doom scroll less, while also being more creative with photography. I do, on occasion, read and review ARCs as well.

“Stories are both an escape from the truths of the world and the only way to see them clearly.”
― Axie Oh, The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea
Hello! I'm NerdyBookFox, or Mel! I'm a full time artist. I unintentionally become a fur mom to 7 cats and 1 giant puppy. When I'm not working, I'm either reading or playing a variety of cozy games or MMOs.I grew up watching Charmed and Supernatural, cementing my love for the paranormal genre and pop culture references. Like most, Lord of the Rings was my introduction to the world of fantasy, with a yearly rewatch a requirement. Star Wars, Star Trek, and Firefly/Serenity all hold a special place in my heart for Science Fiction. And for whatever reason, I really loved horror as a child, specifically slashers.

Any books (or shows) with Charmed-like witches, ghosts, or dragons will instantly catch my attention. I also enjoy stories with vampires, mermaids/sirens, demons, immortal beings, and Greek/Egyptian mythology. I don't mind other supernatural beings.I actually don't like being told if a story if HEA, and I generally avoid contemporary realistic fiction. I generally dislike the following tropes: insta-love, mary-sues, and stereotypical twin ideas (sorry, I'm a twin. I judge this trope hard. I have yet to find a story where twins are written realistically).I avoid books with elements of domestic violence, narcissistic abuse, psychological abuse, and emotional abuse, but I won't write them off if I'm in a headspace that can handle it.
